Job Summary:

Nickel Plating Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end

  Nickel plating production operations

  , ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Develop and implement

  plating process parameters

  and monitor their effectiveness.
• Supervise and guide a team of operators and technicians in daily operations.
  
• Troubleshoot issues related to plating defects, process instability, or equipment malfunctions.
  
• Work closely with the

  Quality Control

  and

  Maintenance

  teams to ensure consistent product output.
• Ensure compliance with

  ISO standards

  ,

  safety protocols

  , and

  environmental regulations

  .
• Monitor

  chemical bath parameters

  , make necessary additions/adjustments, and maintain records.
• Optimize production costs while improving plating quality and yield.
  
• Prepare

  daily production reports

  , manage plating schedules, and coordinate with other departments.
• Assist in the implementation of

  Lean Manufacturing

  and

  Kaizen

  practices.

Requirements:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgy.

• 3 to 8 years of

  hands-on experience in Nickel plating / electroplating production

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  electrochemical plating principles

  , bath maintenance, and surface preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret

  technical drawings

  and

  specifications

  .
• Working knowledge of

  quality standards

  (ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and

  5S practices

  .
• Proficiency in

  SAP & MS Office

  and basic production management software/tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with

  chrome, zinc, or other metal plating

  processes.
• Exposure to

  automotive, aerospace, or electronics industry plating standards

  .
• Experience in

  troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA)

  methodologies.
