Role Purpose

The EWIS Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of Aerospace Electrical System design tasks, including schematics and wiring diagrams, with minimal supervision. The role involves contributing to design execution, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute electrical wiring design tasks aligned with organizational KPIs
  • Develop and review Aerospace Electrical System Schematics and Wiring Diagrams
  • Support quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify technical risks and propose mitigation plans
  • Prepare project deliverables, reports, and technical documentation
  • Support customer and internal technical reviews
  • Handle non-conformances, concessions, and change documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support peer reviews

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 47 years of experience in Aerospace Electrical System Schematics & Wiring
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • EFD, EID, ESSD
    • Wiring, Block, Schematic, Stick, and Topology diagrams
    • 3D Harness Routing and Manufacturing Drawings (HV/LV/RF)
  • Tools: AutoCAD, Electre, Siemens Capital, CATIA/UG-NX, MS Office, Beyond Compare
  • Knowledge of Electrical Power Generation & Distribution
  • Strong understanding of standards:
    • SAE50881, MIL-STD-5088L, MIL-STD-704F
    • EMI/EMC standards, MIL-W/C-27500
  • Electrical component selection and library/symbol creation
  • BOM creation and CAD model updates
  • Change Control Board (CCB) documentation support
  • REACH compliance knowledge and supplier coordination

Desirable Skills

  • Airworthiness requirements for wire harness design
  • CATIA Wire Harness, Flattening & Form Board creation
  • Electrical component testing & FTI support
  • Experience with OEMs like Boeing, Airbus
  • Knowledge of Excel VBA / Python / Power Query
  • Lean mindset and continuous improvement culture
