Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

Aluminium Welding Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, qualify, and implement welding procedures for aluminium components (primarily using GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, and robotic welding systems).
Provide technical support to production and quality teams in welding applications and troubleshooting.
Oversee welder qualifications and ensure compliance with applicable codes (e.g., AWS D1.2, ASME, ISO standards).
Perform weld inspections, including visual, destructive, and non-destructive testing (NDT), ensuring weld quality and consistency.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to optimize part and joint designs for manufacturability and welding efficiency.
Develop and maintain welding documentation, including WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), PQR (Procedure Qualification Records), and WPQ (Welder Performance Qualifications).
Research and evaluate new welding technologies and materials related to aluminium fabrication.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to welding operations.
Train welding technicians and operators on proper aluminium welding techniques and procedures.
