Energy Research Specialist

Role Overview: You will be a part of the Accenture Research global Energy team, focusing on the Oil & Gas sector. Your role as a Research Specialist involves collaborating with senior researchers and Accenture's Energy leadership to provide cutting-edge research and insights. Your contributions to Thought Leadership (TL) and Client-focused Research (CFR) will help shape strategic viewpoints, guide client engagements, and enhance competitive positioning for Accenture and its clients. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to developing research-based insights by conducting structured market analysis, monitoring the industry, and synthesizing relevant data and trends. - Explore key industry themes like energy transition, decarbonization, digital transformation, market dynamics, and geopolitical influences on the oil and gas sector. - Assist in analyzing industry and company data using various research and visualization tools, updating internal models, and creating client-ready outputs. - Collaborate with research leads and client teams globally to shape viewpoints, address strategic queries, and contribute to publications or internal briefings. - Craft clear and compelling research outputs, including slides and written summaries, suitable for leadership and clients. Qualification Required: - Understanding or interest in the energy (oil & gas) industry, with awareness of major industry challenges. - Proficient in applying various research methodologies, including secondary data gathering, market and company profiling, strategic frameworks, and financial assessment. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, visualize, and interpret data. - Familiarity with Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) for enhancing research and content creation. - Ability to compile reports with a clear storyline and results. - Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience in data visualization tools like Power BI or similar is a plus.
