Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Procedure Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses with various endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies, gastroscopies, and bronchoscopies. Equipment Preparation & Maintenance: Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment, ensuring it's clean, disinfected, and calibrated according to facility standards. Sterile Field Maintenance: Maintain a sterile field during procedures, ensuring proper handling of instruments and equipment. Specimen Collection: Collect and deliver specimens collected during procedures. Patient Monitoring: Place devices like blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeter sensors, and cardiac monitoring electrodes on patients to monitor vital signs. Room Preparation: Prepare rooms according to the requirements of the specific endoscopic procedure. Inventory Management: Keep track of equipment and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels. Patient Education: Instruct patients on proper medication and procedures. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in handling and maintaining endoscopic equipment. Sterilization Knowledge: Knowledge of sterilization procedures and techniques. Medical Knowledge: Basic understanding of medical procedures and patient care. Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and attention to detail. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and patients. Experience: Some experience in medical settings or as an endoscopy technician is preferred.
