Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Provide immediate medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, trauma, and medical emergencies.
Perform rapid assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment of emergency cases.
Manage critical care procedures including intubation, resuscitation, trauma management, and cardiac life support.
Coordinate with specialists, nursing staff, and paramedics for optimal patient outcomes.
Handle medico-legal cases and ensure proper documentation.
Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, NABH standards, and emergency care guidelines.
Supervise junior doctors, residents, and emergency staff during shifts.
Participate in emergency drills, audits, and continuous medical education (CME).
Communicate effectively with patients relatives regarding treatment plans and prognosis.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualified
MEM (Master in Emergency Medicine)
Valid Medical Council registration (NMC / State Medical Council)
Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Willingness to work in shifts (day/night)
