Embedded Software Engineer

Role Overview: Avantro Labs is seeking a hands-on Embedded Software Engineer proficient in C programming, RTOS, sensor integration, and wireless connectivity (BLE/WiFi/LTE) to develop firmware for microcontroller-based products like STM32 and Nordic nRF. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for firmware development for innovative consumer IoT products, collaborating with the hardware team for seamless integration. Key Responsibilities: - Develop firmware for microcontroller-based products such as STM32 and nRF - Integrate and interface with sensors and wireless modules like BLE, WiFi, and LTE - Build RTOS-based applications using FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or RTX - Implement low-level drivers including GPIO, ADC, SPI, UART, IC, PWM, and timers - Work with connectivity stacks for BLE services, Wi-Fi provisioning, and MQTT/TCP/IP basics - Perform board bring-up, debugging, and optimization using JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers - Collaborate with the hardware team for HW/FW integration - Write clean, maintainable C code following coding best practices - Participate in documentation, testing, and version control using Git Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of embedded firmware experience - Proficiency in C programming - Hands-on experience with RTOS - Experience with multiple MCU families, preferably STM32 and nRF - Exposure to sensor integration and wireless technologies such as BLE, WiFi, and LTE - Understanding of interrupts, DMA, low-power modes, memory mapping, and bootloaders - Comfortable with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and SWD/JTAG debugging tools - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Additional Company Details: Avantro Labs offers the opportunity to work on innovative consumer IoT devices in a high ownership, fast iteration, and collaborative culture.
