Role Description Avantro Labs is looking for a hands-on Embedded Software Engineer with strong skills in C programming, RTOS, sensor integration, and wireless connectivity (BLE/WiFi/LTE) . You’ll work across microcontroller platforms like STM32 and Nordic nRF , taking full ownership of firmware development for innovative consumer IoT products. This is a full-time, on-site position for an Embedded Software Engineer based in Hubballi, Karnataka. What You'll Do Develop firmware for microcontroller-based products (STM32, nRF etc.) Integrate and interface with sensors and wireless modules (BLE, WiFi, LTE) Build RTOS-based applications (FreeRTOS/Zephyr/RTX) Implement low-level drivers (GPIO, ADC, SPI, UART, I²C, PWM, timers) Work with connectivity stacks (BLE services, Wi-Fi provisioning, MQTT/TCP/IP basics) Perform board bring-up, debugging, optimisation using JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analysers Collaborate with hardware team for HW/FW integration Write clean, maintainable C code and follow coding best practices Participate in documentation, testing, and version control (Git) What We're Looking For 1–3 years of embedded firmware experience Strong proficiency in C Hands-on experience with RTOS Experience working on multiple MCU families (STM32/nRF preferred) Sensor integration + wireless tech (BLE/WiFi/LTE) exposure Understanding of interrupts, DMA, low-power, memory map, bootloaders Comfortable with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, SWD/JTAG Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Good to Have Familiarity with MQTT/CoAP/HTTPS Understanding of OTA updates & secure firmware Experience with low-power, battery-based devices Basic schematic reading and hardware understanding Why Join Us Work on innovative consumer IoT devices High ownership, fast iteration, collaborative culture Build first-generation products from scratch
