You will be part of Palls Global Process Engineering group Systems team, located in Pune, India, working on-site. In the role of Element Design Engineering II, you will be responsible for delivering engineered solutions to support Pall factories in manufacturing filter elements. Working closely with manufacturing teams, engineers, and senior engineers, you will ensure that engineering solutions meet customer, product, and manufacturing requirements within specified cost and timelines. Your main responsibilities will include generating designs that meet customer specifications, ensuring safe and reliable design that is easy to manufacture, operate, and maintain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and detail products, ensuring safety and functionality according to customer requirements and legislation. Additionally, you will participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with manufacturing teams and suppliers on product technical issues. To excel in this role, you should have a good understanding of design for manual assembly and batch manufacturing, as well as error-proofing techniques. Knowledge of major manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, forming, molding/casting, and sealing mechanisms is essential. Strong multitasking abilities and excellent communication skills in English and Hindi are required. A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience is necessary. Previous experience in the design of filtration products or equivalent for a minimum of 2 years would be advantageous.
