Role Overview

Electromechanical Proposal Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Development:

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including system design, equipment specifications, and cost estimation.
  
• Develop detailed project scope, layouts, and BOMs aligned with client requirements.
  
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to gather technical inputs.
  

Client Interaction & Technical Support:

• Understand client requirements and translate them into feasible technical solutions.
  
• Respond to client queries during the tendering and evaluation process.
  
• Support pre-bid and post-bid technical clarifications.
  

Design & Engineering Support:

• Provide design input, calculations, and recommendations to ensure proposals are technically sound.
  
• Collaborate with design engineers for system integration and optimization.
  

Project & Cost Analysis:

• Perform cost estimation, risk assessment, and resource planning for proposals.
  
• Ensure proposals comply with standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
  

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain proposal documentation, presentations, and technical reports.
  
• Track proposal status and maintain records of all submissions and client feedback.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems, drives, motors, PLCs, sensors, and actuators.
  
• Expertise in proposal preparation, costing, and technical documentation.
  
• Hands-on experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and electrical design tools.
  
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to optimize technical solutions for cost and performance.
  
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.
  
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
  
• 7 – 15 years of experience in electromechanical project design, proposal preparation, and system integration.
  
• Experience in industrial, automation, or manufacturing sectors preferred.
