Position

Job Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance & Upkeep

• Ensure smooth operation of all foundry electrical systems including furnaces, cranes, compressors, and DG sets.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance as per schedule.
• Strive to achieve

  zero breakdowns

  and minimize equipment downtime.

Equipment Installation & Commissioning

• Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery, furnaces, panels, and automation systems.
• Ensure proper wiring, earthing, and adherence to safety compliance.

Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Attend to electrical breakdowns immediately and ensure quick rectification.
• Diagnose and repair issues in PLC panels, motors, VFDs, starters, and control systems.
• Maintain proper records of failures, corrective actions, and spares usage.

Energy Management

• Monitor and control electricity usage in furnaces, compressors, and other utilities.
• Implement energy-saving measures and recommend efficiency improvements.

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere to statutory and factory electrical safety norms.
• Implement Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and safe maintenance practices.
• Support regular inspections, audits, and safety drills.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily logbooks of maintenance, breakdowns, and energy usage.
• Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to Maintenance Head.
• Support ISO, TPM, and internal audit requirements.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Train and mentor helpers/technicians on electrical systems.
• Contribute to

  Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and zero breakdown initiatives

  .

Candidate Profile

• Hands-on experience as an

  Electrician in manufacturing industry

  (Foundry / Heavy Engineering preferred).
• Knowledge and experience in

  zero breakdown concepts

  and modern maintenance practices.
• Willing to work in

  rotational shifts

  .
• Strong troubleshooting skills in high-voltage systems, furnaces, and automation equipment.
• Safety-conscious, team player, and result-oriented.
