Job Description - Technician - Electrical

Job Summary

The Technician - Electrical position is crucial to maintaining and enhancing the electrical integrity and functionality of our delivered and operational boats. This role requires a hands-on professional capable of performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The successful candidate will be well-versed in electrical systems, utilizing a strong background in electrical engineering to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance Oversight:

Carry out electrical maintenance activities on delivered and operational boats, adhering to scheduled maintenance plans.

  • Electrical Repairs:

Efficiently diagnose and repair damaged electrical components and systems of boats, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Supervision of Repairs:

Direct and supervise third-party repair works both in water and dry dock scenarios, ensuring that all tasks meet the required standards.

  • Inspections:

Regularly inspect and check electrical equipment on boats to preempt failures and maintain optimal operation.

Troubleshooting:

Respond to and troubleshoot electrical failures, providing timely and effective solutions to maintain operational continuity.

Cross-functional Support:

Assist the mechanical team with electrical expertise, contributing to a collaborative maintenance environment

Requirements

  • The candidate must have an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Electrical certification.
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably within the marine industry.
  • The candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and components used in boats, including wiring, circuitry, and power distribution.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints is essential.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment used for troubleshooting electrical issues is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
  • The ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on efficient and effective solutions are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervise third-party contractors are necessary.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards are crucial.
  • The candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as necessary to support operational needs.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different locations as required are necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
