Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. This role ensures compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:1. Installation & Maintenance

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, control panels, and equipment.
• Ensure proper functioning of lighting, power outlets, and electrical circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.

2. Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Identify and rectify electrical faults in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine inspections to prevent electrical hazards or equipment failures.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns efficiently, minimizing downtime.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and hazards.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, standards, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and electrical inspections.

4. Support & Coordination

• Assist in planning and implementing electrical upgrades or new installations.
• Coordinate with other maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors as required.
• Provide technical guidance to junior electricians or apprentices.

5. Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Test and maintain backup power systems, generators, and UPS systems.
• Recommend improvements to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma, ITI Certificate, or equivalent in Electrical Trade.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
