Job Description

Role Overview: An electrician working at a sewage treatment plant is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting all electrical systems and equipment within the facility, including motors, pumps, control panels, generators, and lighting. Your role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the wastewater treatment process while adhering to safety regulations and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: - Performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, including wiring, motors, transformers, relays, and circuit breakers. - Diagnosing electrical faults and malfunctions, identifying the root cause, and implementing corrective actions. - Installing new electrical equipment, including wiring, conduit, and control panels, as needed for upgrades or expansions. - Maintaining and repairing electrical control systems, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) based systems, to ensure proper operation of treatment processes. - Responding to electrical emergencies, including power outages, equipment failures, and safety hazards. Qualification Required: - A valid electrician license, depending on local regulations. - Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in a wastewater treatment plant setting. - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. - Knowledge of safety procedures related to working in a wastewater treatment plant environment. - Experience in handling Electrical Equipment. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail and safety protocols. - Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
