Job Description

Job Summary:

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all electrical maintenance and operations in the OE Textile division. This includes ensuring smooth functioning of electrical systems, machinery, and utilities to achieve continuous production with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, plan, and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance for all OE textile machinery (e.g., Schlafhorst, Rieter, Lakshmi, or other Open End machines).
  • Monitor electrical panels, motors, drives (VFDs), and control systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in production machinery and utility systems.
  • Maintain records of electrical maintenance activities, breakdown logs, and spare parts inventory.
  • Coordinate with production and mechanical maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and energy-saving practices.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and electrical infrastructure.
  • Train and guide electricians and junior technicians in troubleshooting and safety practices.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for technical support when required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of textile OE machinery electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, drives, and control circuits.
  • Sound understanding of industrial electrical wiring, panels, and load management.
  • Ability to lead a maintenance team effectively.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Awareness of safety and statutory electrical norms.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–8 years in electrical maintenance within OE / Spinning Textile units.

Working Conditions:

  • Factory-based role; rotational shift may be required.
  • Exposure to high-speed textile machinery and electrical systems.

Job Type: Full-time
