Job Title: Electrical Procurement Executive

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

Reporting To: Procurement Manager / Project Manager

Job Summary

The Electrical Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing electrical materials and equipment required for projects or operations. The role ensures timely availability of quality materials at optimal cost while complying with company standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure electrical materials such as cables, panels, switchgears, lighting, transformers, MCBs, and accessories
  
• Identify and evaluate vendors based on price, quality, delivery time, and reliability
  
• Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Purchase Orders (PO)
  
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with suppliers
  
• Coordinate with engineering, projects, stores, and accounts departments
  
• Ensure timely delivery of materials as per project schedules
  
• Verify material specifications, quantities, and compliance with technical requirements
  
• Maintain procurement records, vendor database, and documentation
  
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores to avoid shortages or excess stock
  
• Handle material returns, replacements, and claims if required
  
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and safety standards
  

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electrical materials and specifications
  
• Good negotiation and communication skills
  
• Ability to analyze cost, quality, and supplier performance
  
• Familiarity with ERP / procurement software (SAP, Oracle, etc. if applicable)
  
• Basic understanding of contracts and commercial terms
  
• Good coordination and time management skills
  

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical procurement (EPC, construction, manufacturing, or MEP industry preferred)
