Electrical MEP Design Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical

system design and implementation for diverse building projects. The role demands

expertise in power distribution, lighting design, and building services coordination while

ensuring regulatory compliance and design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

? Design comprehensive electrical systems including power distribution, lighting,

and control systems

? Prepare electrical single line diagrams, panel schedules, and detailed working

drawings

? Conduct electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination

studies

? Lead and mentor a team of junior electrical engineers and CAD technicians

? Coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, fire safety teams, and external consultants

? Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, NBC, and local electrical codes and standards

? Review electrical designs for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness

? Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and client meetings

? Oversee electrical system commissioning and testing procedures

? Stay updated with latest electrical technologies and sustainable design

practices

Technical Requirements

? 46 years of hands-on electrical design experience in building services

? Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Revit MEP for electrical modeling

? Experience with electrical analysis software (ETAP, SKM, or similar)

? Strong knowledge of electrical codes: IEC, IS 732, IS 1255, NBC Part 8, etc.

? Experience in LT/HT power systems, UPS, DG sets, and emergency power systems

? Knowledge of lighting design software (DIALux or Relux) and energy-efficient

solutions

? Understanding of building automation, fire alarm, and security systems

integration

? Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams

? Strong technical writing and documentation skills

? Excellent interpersonal and client management capabilities
