Job Description

Qualification: You should hold a Diploma in EEE with 10-20 years of experience or a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 8-15 years of experience. Job Purpose: As the Electrical Maintenance Lead/Manager, your main responsibility is to oversee the Electrical Maintenance function within the O&M Department. Your role involves ensuring the safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of electrical systems and equipment at various Water and Wastewater Treatment facilities. This requires hands-on expertise in electrical maintenance, leadership in building reliable teams, and active coordination with clients and stakeholders for performance excellence. Key Responsibilities: You will be in charge of overseeing preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance of electrical systems, which includes HT & LT Motors, Transformers, Switchgears, Capacitor Banks, and Diesel Generator Sets. Your duties also involve ensuring electrical safety and availability across all O&M locations, conducting root cause analysis for electrical failures, and striving towards achieving Zero breakdown. Additionally, you should have a comprehensive understanding of Single Line Diagrams, relay settings, and protection systems, as well as ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and maintaining electrical system documentation and records. Leading and developing a reliable electrical team capable of responding to maintenance tasks, conducting skill development and safety training sessions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement are also essential aspects of the role. Effective coordination with Clients, HQ, internal departments, vendors, and subcontractors, managing vendor contracts, purchase orders, and amendments, representing the electrical domain in client meetings and audits, implementing SOPs, EHS procedures, and quality documentation, and ensuring proper functioning of electrical safety and monitoring systems are key responsibilities. Tracking and reporting on KPIs related to electrical maintenance, identifying areas for improvement, initiating cost-effective solutions, and supporting digitization and computerized maintenance management systems are also part of your duties. Key Skills & Competencies: You should have in-depth technical knowledge of electrical systems used in water and wastewater treatment operations, proficiency in maintenance techniques, a strong understanding of electrical protection and safety systems, and skills in manpower handling, contractor/vendor management, and negotiation. Excellent communication and customer relationship skills, proficiency in MS Office and basic familiarity with CMMS or other maintenance software, a strong commitment to EHS standards and continual improvement, experience in utility-scale or infrastructure O&M projects, familiarity with PLC interface, motor control centers, and automation support systems are valuable competencies for this role. Additionally, experience with ISO, EHS audits, and statutory inspections is beneficial for this position.,
