Description
In this role of Electrical System Installation & Maintenance, you will be responsible for performing installation, wiring, and commissioning of new electrical panels, circuits, equipment, and machinery. Your primary focus will be to ensure compliance with local codes and company standards. Additionally, you will execute preventive maintenance schedules for critical electrical assets such as transformers, switchgear, distribution panels, and lighting systems to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults in AC and DC systems, motor controls, and equipment control logic like PLCs and VFDs. - Perform hands-on repairs and replacements of faulty components including circuit breakers, contactors, relays, wiring, and power supplies. - Design, modify, and build complex electrical control panels with a focus on proper component layout, wiring neatness, and adherence to schematics. - Manage various types of wiring (high voltage, low voltage, control, signal) and oversee cable tray/conduit installations. - Oversee the installation, connection, maintenance, and monitoring of transformers to ensure stable and correct voltage supply for operations. - Conduct routine inspections, oil level checks, and diagnostic testing on transformers. - Strictly adhere to all electrical safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and regulatory requirements. - Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair work, and system modifications. Qualifications Required: - Relevant degree or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field. - Proven experience in electrical system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - Strong knowledge of local electrical codes and safety standards. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
