Job Description

An Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the upkeep and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure they function safely and efficiently. This includes tasks like routine inspections, troubleshooting faults, making repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance measures. They may also be involved in installing new electrical systems or components. Key Responsibilities: 1) Routine Maintenance: Performing scheduled inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. 2) Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and malfunctions, replacing faulty components (e.g., motors, transformers, circuit breakers). 3) Installation: Installing new electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems. 4) Safety: Identifying and addressing potential hazards, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations. 5) Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and equipment condition. 6) Collaboration: Working with other maintenance teams, technicians, and stakeholders to develope and implement maintenance plans and procedures. 7) Calibration and Testing: Conducting testing, calibration, and adjustment of electrical instruments and control systems. 8) Emergency Response: Responding to electrical emergencies and ensuring minimal downtime. 9) Spare Parts Management: Managing and ordering spare parts, maintaining an inventory, and tracking usage. 10) Supervision: Supervising electrical technicians, providing training and guidance. 11) Performance Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process or equipment improvements and implementing solutions.
