Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment such as motors, drives, transformers, control panels, and PLCs. Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and implement effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime. Monitor and maintain electrical distribution systems, panels, and wiring in compliance with safety regulations. Support installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and automation systems. Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts usage. Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, and production teams to optimize plant operations. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety guidelines (e.g., OSHA/IEC), and company policies. Maintain and calibrate electrical instruments and control systems. Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing, AMC, or warranty claims. Implement energy-saving and efficiency improvement measures. Required Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (D.E.E / B.E. / B.Tech). 1–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or process industry. Good knowledge of electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and control systems.
