Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is primarily responsible for the overall electrical maintenance of the plant equipment for PCC (Precipitated Calcium Carbonate, based on the inferred industry type). This role is crucial in ensuring the continuous operation and optimal performance of all electrical systems while upholding the highest safety and regulatory standards within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations & Maintenance

• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:

  Develop, plan, and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical machinery and equipment, including HT panels.

• Breakdown Management:

  Promptly and efficiently address breakdowns, execute predictive maintenance, and implement corrective actions.

• Equipment Expertise:

  Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of electrical equipment, including

  HT panels, LTpanels, motors, drives, control systems, and various plant machinery such as wet grinders, filtration equipment, pumps (horizontal and vertical), conveyor belts, RO plants, ETP plants, agitators, crushers, blowers, centrifugal fans, bag filters, bucket elevators, and cooling towers.

• Supervision:

  Responsible for day-to-day electrical maintenance activities supervision and handling a team of 2-3 people.

• Daily Activities:

  Manage and execute day-to-day maintenance activities.

2. Safety, Compliance & Improvement

• Safety Standards:

  Achieve and maintain the Safety standards in the working area as per Artemyn Safety Standards and ensure all maintenance activities adhere strictly to the group's safety standards and relevant electrical codes.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Identify and implement continuous improvement practices to enhance plant productivity, energy efficiency, and electrical system reliability.

• Project Initiation:

  Responsible for initiating different improvement projects for cost saving, productivity improvement, etc.

• Protocol Compliance:

  Responsible for implementing and closing all the gaps as identified under different Artemyn Protocols.

3. Planning & Coordination

• Project Management:

  Participate in the planning and execution of electrical aspects of new projects, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

• Interdepartmental Coordination:

  Collaborate effectively with mechanical, instrumentation, and projects teams to ensure seamless operations and successful project delivery.

• Vendor Management:

  Deal with external vendors and responsible for identification and development of local vendors for maintenance services and consumables.

• Inventory Management:

  Oversee spare parts management for electrical components, including generating purchase requisitions (PR), purchase orders (PO), follow-ups, and maintaining the maintenance inventory & its records.

• Budget Management:

  Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the electrical maintenance budget.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Education & Experience

• UG:

  Any Graduate (Electrical/Electronics Engineering preferred).

• Experience:

• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree,

  OR

• 8-10 years of relevant experience with a Diploma.

Essential Skills

• High Voltage (HT) and Low Voltage (LT) Panel Expertise:

  In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with HT panels, including their operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Plant & Machine Knowledge:

  Comprehensive understanding of plant operations and extensive hands-on experience with industrial machinery.

• Electrical Maintenance:

  Proven expertise in all aspects of electrical maintenance, including power distribution, motor controls, and automation.

• Safety Systems:

  Strong knowledge of industrial safety systems and practices within an operational environment.

• Communication:

  Good written and oral communication skills.
