Electrical & Instrumentation

As a part of the Electrical & Instrumentation team at L&T Energy - Hydrocarbon in Chennai, your role will involve a wide range of responsibilities and key deliverables. With a required experience of 4 - 20 years and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) qualification, your primary focus will be on proposal development, project management, and construction management tasks related to E&I projects. Your key responsibilities will include leading the E&I team in proposal and estimation efforts, project management activities, and construction management tasks. You will be involved in finalizing costing strategies, reviewing and finalizing proposal deliverables, engineering management, and implementing optimization strategies. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing procurement plans, monitoring engineering progress, coordinating procurement activities, and resolving technical matters. Furthermore, you will participate in inspections, monitor construction progress, coordinate testing and charging activities, manage OEM support, and provide commissioning support. Your role will also involve ensuring timely delivery, progress reporting, material reconciliation, and managing invoicing processes. Collaborating with internal employees and external stakeholders such as vendors, customers, and on-site teams will be essential to successfully execute your responsibilities. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will be expected to provide technical support to other projects and take on additional responsibilities related to proposals. To excel in this role, you should have experience in E, P, C environments in process plants, familiarity with DCS PLC, analyzers, and control room works, and knowledge of HV/LV substation equipment design engineering. Familiarity with various codes and standards for electrical and instrument items in hazardous areas is a plus, along with an understanding of vendors for the supply of various E&I items and their associated costs. Overall, your role as a key member of the Electrical & Instrumentation team will require strong project management skills, technical expertise in E&I systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes in the energy and hydrocarbon sector.,
