Description
Design, plan, and implement electrical systems for academic buildings, hostels, laboratories, and common facilities. Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, solar power systems, and other infrastructure. Conduct routine preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. Ensure compliance with electrical safety norms, statutory regulations, and quality standards. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants for electrical works. Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, cost estimates, and documentation for tenders and procurement. Support energy efficiency and green building initiatives on campus. Maintain and update electrical layouts, drawings, load calculations, and documentation. Monitor consumption and manage load distribution to optimize performance and reduce costs. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget. Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of electrical design, load calculation, and safety norms. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant electrical design software. Hands-on experience with power systems, switchgear, and automation. Excellent project management, communication, and vendor coordination skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues under pressure. Familiarity with energy audits and sustainable electrical practices.
