Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

* Supervision & monitoring of electrical execution work at civil construction project site,

nstallation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems on construction sites

* Responsibilities include project planning, supervising installations, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards,

* Troubleshooting issues and managing documentation, reports,

* Preparing list of materials from the electrical drawings within budgets.

* collaborate with other engineers, architects and contractors to ensure electrical components are properly integrated and installed completed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Project management:

  Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop plans, prepare project scope documents, and manage timelines.

• Installation supervision:

  Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.

• Compliance and safety:

  Ensure all work adheres to contract documents, project specifications, and applicable safety regulations and codes.

• Technical oversight:

  Review designs for accuracy and suitability, supervise contractors, and provide direction on all electrical issues.

• Troubleshooting:

  Identify and resolve any electrical problems or issues that arise on-site.

• Documentation and reporting:

  Prepare and maintain reports, schedules, and other necessary documentation.

• Resource management:

  Assist in preparing and assigning resources such as manpower, materials, and equipment for electrical works.

• Budgeting:

  Help prepare budgets by estimating costs for labor, materials, and equipment.

Preferred candidate profile

Key qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years working experience in civil construction project site
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, skills in project management and site supervision.
• Familiarity with 2D or 3D design software like AutoCAD is often required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
