Job Description (JD) Required Project Manager for Power (Transmission & Distribution) Sector tailored to rural electrification and distribution system strengthening projects such as ADB, DDUGJY & RDSS (Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme): Job Title: Project Manager Power (Transmission & Distribution) Projects Location : Sikkim Reporting To : Project Director / Head Projects Department : Power (Transmission & Distribution) Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution Prepare and review project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for HT & LT line works. Oversee end-to-end execution of HT/LT line, DT installation, BPL/Non-BPL household electrification, and associated works. Monitor EPC contractors or turnkey agencies for timely and quality execution. Coordinate with Govt. Dept. and third-party agencies for survey, DPR validation, and work approvals. Technical Supervision Ensure adherence to REC/MoP technical standards and concerned project guidelines. Monitor site execution of pole erection, conductor stringing, AB cable laying, and transformer installation. Conduct quality checks and resolve on-site issues. Team & Contractor Coordination Manage field engineers, supervisors, and vendor teams across multiple work sites. Allocate tasks, ensure productivity, and implement safety protocols at all locations. Stakeholder Management Coordinate with Govt. officials, third-party inspection agencies, and client representatives. Attend progress review meetings and submit project status reports. Documentation & Reporting Maintain project records: MBs, site logs, material reconciliation, joint measurement sheets, etc. Ensure timely submission of bills and certification of work completion. Compliance & Safety Ensure implementation of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) norms. Address statutory clearances and RoW (Right of Way) issues proactively. Required Qualifications: Education : Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred) Experience : 7+ years of experience in distribution network projects (LT/HT lines). Minimum 3 years in RDSS/DDUGJY/RGGVY or similar rural electrification schemes. Key Skills: Thorough knowledge of HT/LT line construction, DT erection, and electrification standards. Hands-on experience with REC/MoP documentation and project reporting. Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills. Familiarity with GIS-based survey and execution tracking tools. Role & responsibilities * Supervision & monitoring of electrical execution work at civil construction project site, * I nstallation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems on construction sites . * Responsibilities include project planning, supervising installations, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards, * Troubleshooting issues and managing documentation, reports, * Preparing list of materials from the electrical drawings within budgets. * collaborate with other engineers, architects and contractors to ensure electrical components are properly integrated and installed completed on time and within budget.
