Job Description

Job Profile :

Electrical Designer/Draftsman

Key Responsibility Area :

design and drafting

Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
General Arrangement (GA) drawings Layouts (switchyard, cable trench, earthing, lighting) Control & protection schematics Bill of Materials (BOMs)
Ensure compliance with
IEC, IEEE, IS, NEC
, and utility standards. Update and revise drawings per engineer inputs and site requirements. Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical). Maintain drawing records, revision logs, and document control.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma / Bachelors in
Electrical Engineering
(or equivalent).
3-7 years of experience in
EHV substation and transmission line design/drafting
.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD / MicroStation / EPLAN / relevant drafting tools
.
Familiarity with PLS-CADD / Tower / SAP2000 (preferred, for transmission lines).
