Electrical Design and Estimation Engineer

As a Design and Estimation Engineer at VR Automation, your role involves understanding the customers" requirements and creating drawings to meet their needs. You will be responsible for preparing drawings for various departments, designing or modifying electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, and schematics. Additionally, you will troubleshoot complex electrical problems, specify and review engineering documentation, and prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) for drawings. Your key responsibilities include: - Understanding customers" requirements and creating drawings to fulfill their needs - Designing or modifying electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, and schematics - Troubleshooting complex electrical problems with limited supervision - Specifying and reviewing engineering documentation - Preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) for drawings - Estimating customers" enquiries by selecting technically and economically correct BOM - Ensuring drawings and estimations are approved by the General Manager before submission to customers - Reviewing estimates for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with defined scope of work - Preparing test reports before dispatching jobs, ensuring approval by the General Manager - Collaborating with engineers to determine machining operations, tools, gauges, and materials required - Evaluating enquiry documents, drawings, and schedules - Floating enquiries to suppliers and manufacturers - Conducting comparison studies based on supplier quotations - Maintaining ISO documentation - Following schedules, plans, and instructions from the General Manager or seniors In this role, you have the authority to: - Choose cost-effective components that meet customers" needs without compromising product quality - Communicate with clients and suppliers regarding techno-commercial clearance If you are interested in this position, you can contact Meghana D. at 7020093788.
