Job Title

Electrical & Maintenance Technician (Machinery)

Job Summary

The Electrical & Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on electrical systems and industrial machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance on electrical machinery and equipment
Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, control panels, sensors, drives, and related systems
Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, switchgear, and control systems
Ensure machines operate efficiently with minimal downtime
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
Perform routine inspections and safety checks on machinery
Repair or replace faulty electrical and minor mechanical components
Follow electrical safety standards and company maintenance procedures
Maintain records of maintenance activities and report issues
Coordinate with production and mechanical teams for smooth plant operations

Required Skills & Knowledge

Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and machinery
Basic understanding of mechanical maintenance
Ability to use electrical testing tools (multi meter, insulation tester, etc.)
Knowledge of electrical safety practices and procedures
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team

Qualifications

ITI / Diploma / Technical certification in Electrical or related field
15 years of experience
in electrical maintenance of machinery
Basic knowledge of PLC' s and automation is an advantage
