Role Overview: At Kroll, as an Editor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the copy quality of due diligence reports aligns with company standards and meets deadlines. You will review and edit a high volume of reports, focusing on grammar, spelling, clarity, sentence structure, paragraph flow, and document organization. Your role will involve applying elementary rules of usage, composition principles, and correcting commonly misused words and expressions. Additionally, you will need to provide constructive feedback to assist in producing compelling, clear, and direct prose. Key Responsibilities: - Review and edit due diligence reports to ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. - Maintain document clarity, sentence structure, and paragraph coherence. - Apply knowledge of composition principles and commonly misused words and expressions. - Provide constructive criticism and feedback to enhance the quality of reports. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in English, Professional Writing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. - Minimum of 2 years of editing experience in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and vocabulary. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. - Knowledge of standard style guides. - Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. - Preference for candidates with newspaper or magazine editing experience. - Self-motivated, independent, responsive, and available to work 40 hours per week with extended hours when necessary.
