Edi Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitor daily integration processes across EDI protocols, SAP IDoc interfaces, and related ports, ensuring timely error resolution.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define EDI requirements for new platform features and enhancements.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams and external trading partners on all EDI-related matters.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of EDI transactions, monitoring data flow and proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving any errors or failures.
• Provide guidance to the managed services partner on EDI mapping specifications.
• Prepare functional specifications, test plans, user documentation, technical integration documentation, and control plans.
• Support and optimize existing EDI integrations to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Actively participate in team meetings and project reviews, contributing expertise on EDI, SAP integration, and emerging technologies.
• Maintain and continuously upgrade skills in EDI, SAP integration, APIs, and AI-driven automation tools to enhance solution delivery and efficiency.
• Build basic knowledge of API technologies and propose API-based approaches for suppliers and customers to enable secure, real-time data exchange.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge and experience, VDA and/or EDIFACT, X12 standards.
• Willing to working in any shifts.
• Hands-on experience with EDI integration and translation platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Sterling Integrator, SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and partner onboarding processes simultaneously.
• Knowledge of other data formats such as XML, JSON, and flat files.
