The role of Ecommerce - Front End Architect involves conceptualizing and defining the client-side architecture of a cutting-edge real-time e-commerce software product. You will be responsible for leading the implementation process to ensure optimal performance across various browsers, operating systems, languages, and devices. Your primary goal will be to enhance the shopping experience for customers through innovative solutions while simplifying the overall process. As the Front End Architect, you will play a crucial role in determining the strategic and tactical direction of the front-end architecture for a new software product suite. This includes selecting appropriate technologies and frameworks to bring wireframes and design concepts to life efficiently. You will also be expected to recommend tools, technologies, and best practices that can streamline development, reduce UI defects, and enhance the maintainability of the client-side experience. In addition to creating wireframes and prototypes for stakeholder and team review, you will be tasked with defining and owning the technical roadmap for the front end of the product. This will involve researching and implementing new technologies to optimize performance and stay ahead of industry trends. To excel in this role, you should have a solid background in front-end engineering, with at least 5-7 years of experience working on high-traffic websites and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position as a Lead Front-End Architect. Proficiency in client architecture and development, along with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and object-oriented programming, is essential. Additionally, a strong grasp of Java, JSP, Servlets, and Spring frameworks is required. Knowledge of MVC architecture, CSS2/CSS3, JQuery, AngularJS, and Ajax, as well as familiarity with HTML5 utilities, SOAP, REST APIs, and web template engines, will be beneficial for this role. Experience in configuring and optimizing web containers, along with skills in CMS and portal architecture, are highly desirable. An understanding of various aspects such as Shopping Cart, Content Management, Workflow Management, Localization, Site Performance, and Scalability is also important. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for collaborating with project stakeholders and team members effectively. Proficiency in Javascript technologies like JQuery, MVC frameworks such as Spring MVC, Web Analytics, Mobile Web/App technologies, Social Media Integration, and CMS is essential. Knowledge of analytic tracking, modern JavaScript frameworks, GUI testing techniques, Mobile Web/App development, Agile SDLC (SCRUM), Responsive Design, and market leading packages in functional areas like Search & Merchandising, Content Management, Personalization, Data Analytics, SEO, Big Data Handling, Mobile Commerce, and Social Media integration will provide you with a competitive edge.
