Job brief We are seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will primarily help drive the development and maintenance of our mobile application built on Angular with the Ionic framework, while also exploring opportunities to build other advanced tools and productsincluding generative AI solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Mid-Level Database Administrator with a strong specialization in IBM DB2. The ideal candidate will also possess solid experience in other DBMS flavours such as Oracle and SQL Server database administration. This role will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of database systems, ensuring the highest levels of performance, availability, and security for our diverse range of applications and clients. Key Responsibilities: Database Administration: Install, configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IBM DB2 databases (on Linux/Unix/Windows platforms). Performance Tuning: Analyze, diagnose, and resolve database performance issues, including SQL query optimization, indexing strategies, and database configuration adjustments for DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server. Backup and Recovery: Implement, manage, and test robust backup and recovery strategies for DB2 environments, with experience in Oracle RMAN and SQL Server backups. High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (e.g., DB2 HADR, Oracle Data Guard, SQL Server AlwaysOn). Security Management: Implement and enforce database security policies, manage user access, and perform regular security audits following company standards.
