DTP Operator Typesetting & Format Conversion

Wilco is a heritage publishing house based in India, seeking a skilled DTP Operator to support our production team with typesetting and reformatting tasks. The role involves working on interiors of published titles—particularly converting B-format books to other trim sizes while ensuring clean, consistent layouts.

Key Responsibilities:

Typeset book interiors using existing styles and design templates.

Reformat B-format titles into new trim sizes as per project requirements.

Maintain consistency in typography, spacing, and layout across editions.

Address layout issues such as overset text, line breaks, and hyphenation.

Export press-ready PDF files based on printer specs.

Coordinate with editorial and design teams to implement revisions.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat (Photoshop/Illustrator a bonus).

Strong grasp of layout principles, typography, and print production.

Experience with style-based formatting and long-form text.

Ability to work independently and meet publishing deadlines.

Will be great if the candidate has:

Prior experience working with small or independent publishers.

Understanding of common Indian and international trim sizes, margins, and bleed specs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
