As a Driver, your role involves safely operating a vehicle to transport goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. Your key responsibilities will include: - Safely operating a vehicle to transport goods to their destinations, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. - Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to clients according to schedule. - Safely loading and unloading goods from the vehicle, using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage. - Planning and optimizing delivery routes to minimize time and fuel consumption, considering factors like traffic and weather conditions. - Providing excellent customer service during deliveries, being courteous, professional, and helpful to customers. - Performing routine checks and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. - Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including invoices, delivery notes, and any discrepancies encountered. - Effectively communicating with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to relay information regarding deliveries, delays, or any issues encountered. - Resolving any delivery-related issues or customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner. - Following company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws at all times to ensure safety. - Maintaining physical fitness to handle the demands of the job.
