Driver

Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and/or passengers safely and efficiently to their destinations. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate company vehicles, including cars, vans, trucks or buses depending on the job requirements.

2. Transport goods, materials or passengers to and from specified locations.

3. Plan routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries or pickups.

4. Load and unload cargo or assist passengers as needed.

5. Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, water and tire pressure.

6. Follow all traffic laws and regulations including speed limits and safety guidelines.

7. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption and delivery/pickup schedules.

8. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors or clients to coordinate transportation activities.

9. Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers including providing assistance to elderly or disabled individuals when necessary.

10. Adhere to company policies and procedures including safety protocols and vehicle maintenance guidelines.

Requirements:

1. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

2. Proven experience as a driver in a professional setting.

3. Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.

4. Ability to operate and maintain various types of vehicles.

5. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and co-workers.

6. Good organizational skills and the ability to plan routes efficiently.

7. Flexibility to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Commercial driver’s license (CDL) for drivers of large vehicles or vehicles carrying hazardous materials.

2. Previous experience in a specific type of driving such as delivery driving, truck driving or passenger transportation.

3. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.

4. First aid and CPR certification.
