Draughtsman - Transmission & Distribution

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings (Civil/Electrical) including layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams based on specifications provided by engineers.
• Develop both primary and secondary drawings to support design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Convert and reproduce drawings from PDF files into editable CAD formats.
• Modify and update drawings as per design changes, site requirements, or engineer instructions.
• Review and ensure accuracy of drawings, cross-checking with engineering calculations and standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to clarify design intent and resolve drawing-related issues.
• Assist in the preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and material take-offs from drawings.
• Work with STAAD -Pro files (for Civil Draughtsman) interpret and edit structural design files as needed.
• Maintain a well-organized drawing archive and revision history in line with company documentation standards.
• Visit project sites and customer offices, when required, for data collection, verification, or coordination.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely submission of drawings and project deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering or ITI certification in Draftsmanship (Civil / Electrical).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role (adjust as necessary).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with other CAD software (e.g., Revit, MicroStation) is a plus.
• Ability to understand and reproduce drawings from PDF and scanned formats.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing preparation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and client offices as needed.
