As a Software Developer at our company, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining retail Point of Sale (POS) software with expertise in Visual Basic .NET, C# .NET, and SQL Server. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications using Visual Basic .NET and C# .NET. - Developing and optimizing database structures, queries, and procedures in SQL Server. - Implementing new features and functionality in retail POS systems. - Leveraging expertise in accounting, finance, and pharmacy to design solutions tailored to domain-specific needs. - Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards within the software. - Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate POS systems with accounting and inventory systems. - Identifying and resolving performance issues in existing applications. - Providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system reliability. - Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for applications, processes, and updates. Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Visual Basic .NET, C# .NET development is mandatory. - Expertise in SQL Server, including stored procedures, triggers, and database design. - Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control and agile methodologies. Domain Knowledge: - Strong understanding of retail POS systems, including inventory and billing. - Proficient in accounting principles and financial management processes. - Knowledge of Pharmacy & Retail POS workflows, including inventory management, prescription handling, and compliance requirements. Experience: - 3+ years of experience in software development for retail POS and/or pharmacy systems. - Experience in developing software solutions with accounting and financial integration. Soft Skills: - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with additional programming languages or frameworks (ASP.NET, Angular, or React) will be an added advantage.,
