Audit Engagement Support Professional Role Summary and Details

Role Description:

  • Provide compliance support to Audit Practitioners throughout the audit engagement lifecycle for Deloitte’s clients.
  • Assist in completing documentation of various audit tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, draft, format, edit, and finalize complex business documents such as:
    • Financial statements
    • Audit reports
    • Proposals
    • Engagement letters
    • Other client deliverables for Audit practitioners
  • Deliver high-quality work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain consistency in document formatting and grammar with strong attention to detail.
  • Assess work processes to identify best practices for efficient and accurate document completion.
  • Engage with stakeholders to resolve issues before finalizing documents.
  • Collaborate with peers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Audit practitioners to ensure adherence to process and quality standards.
  • Adapt flexibly to changing responsibilities and evolving business needs as directed by leadership.

Work Location & Shift Details:

  • Location: Hyderabad office
  • Work Model: Hybrid (minimum two days per week in office)
  • Shift Timings: Rotational 9-hour shifts between 5:30 AM and 11 PM (IST), with roster changes quarterly
  • Overtime: Flexible support required during busy seasons, including night shifts to support Canadian clients

Team Overview:

  • The Audit Engagement Support Centre operates across Canada and US India offices.
  • Provides high-quality support services to Audit Practitioners in the Canada Member firm.
  • The team supports various stages of the audit engagement lifecycle, with workload fluctuating based on client filing deadlines.
  • The role is designed for non-CPA/non-accountant professionals, offering a platform to transition into an Auditor practitioner role with relevant certifications.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (B.Com, BBA, M.Com, MBA)
  • 1 to 2 years of work experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance sectors
  • Familiarity with financial and accounting terminologies
  • Basic to advanced proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel

Preferred:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Proactive, highly organized, and capable of multitasking
  • Timely responsiveness to requests
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning relevant to the role
  • Experience supporting Audit professionals with client documents (financial statements, audit reports, engagement letters) is an asset
