Document Controller SAP B1, SAP HANA

Department: Research & Development

The R&D Department's SAP Document Controller is in charge of overseeing and preserving SAP-related paperwork, such as Bill of Materials (BOM) and Item Master Data. This position supports the R&D team with effective document control procedures while guaranteeing data integrity, correctness, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Data Management and Integrity:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date product information, including descriptions, attributes, and categorizations in the SAP system.
• Ensure the consistency, accuracy, and integrity of item and BOM data across the organization by monitoring, validating, and correcting errors or inconsistencies.

Item Master and BOM Creation:

• Create and maintain new items or materials in the SAP system as needed, ensuring that all relevant details are correctly entered and aligned with R&D requirements.
• Develop and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for various products or assemblies, specifying the components or materials required for production.

Version Control and Lifecycle Management:

• Implement and manage different versions of BOMs to accommodate product revisions or updates, ensuring that accurate BOMs are used in production.
• Oversee the lifecycle of items, from creation to discontinuation or phase-out, ensuring that obsolete items are appropriately managed in the system.

Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, sales, and inventory management, to understand their item and BOM-related needs and ensure data alignment.
• Support the R&D team with document control processes, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure that all items and BOMs comply with regulatory and quality standards, managing the necessary documentation for compliance reporting.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation related to item data and BOMs, including diagrams, technical specifications, and work instructions.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate and analyze reports related to item data and BOMs, such as cost breakdowns, usage variance reports, and production efficiency analyses, to support decision-making processes within the R&D department.

Skills:

Computer science skills MS SQL, SAP B1, SAP HANA, MICROSOFT OFFICE, CRYSTALL REPORT

Qualifications:

• Masters in CS B.E (CS)
• Experience 4+ years
