Dispatch Coordinator

Role Overview: As a Dispatch Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating logistics and transportation operations, ensuring seamless communication and coordination among drivers, customers, and service providers. Your responsibilities will include dispatching drivers and monitoring their progress throughout the day, coordinating routes for drivers to ensure timely delivery, planning daily loads, and managing equipment for pickups and deliveries. You will also be responsible for scheduling pickup and delivery appointments for drivers, liaising with brokers, carriers, and customers, handling shipping/receiving administration and customer service, coordinating orders between sales and drivers, directing and organizing logistics activities, ensuring carrier compliance with company policies and procedures, updating customers on the status of each order, communicating with drivers, customers, and internal staff regarding delays or issues, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation, editing orders as needed, generating reports, maintaining logs, and records of calls and activities, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed, and resolving any logistical problems such as traffic or delays. Qualification Required: - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Attention to detail - Flexibility and organizational skills - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel - Ability to prioritize and multitask Any additional details of the company: This full-time position requires you to work 4 days a week with 3 rotational days off, including night shifts.
