Dispatch Assistant

As a Dispatch Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient order processing, timely dispatch of goods, and effective coordination with various internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include receiving and reviewing customer orders, scheduling dispatches based on delivery timelines, coordinating with production and warehouse teams, and managing transportation logistics. Collaborating with third-party logistics providers and suppliers will be an essential part of your role to optimize routes, book vehicles, and ensure on-time delivery. Monitoring the movement of goods during transit and providing regular updates to stakeholders and customers will be vital in maintaining smooth operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of dispatch activities, including documentation such as delivery notes, invoices, and customs paperwork. Additionally, conducting quality checks on dispatched products to uphold quality standards and safety regulations will be a key aspect of your role. In terms of MIS responsibilities, you will be expected to generate and analyze reports related to dispatch activities, transportation costs, delivery performance, and inventory levels. Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all required reports will be essential to track and improve operational efficiency. To qualify for this role, you should hold a graduate degree in any stream and have 2 to 3 years of experience in dispatch operations. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP software, specifically Unicomerce, will be necessary. Handling unforeseen situations like transportation delays or customer emergencies and taking prompt actions to resolve issues will be part of your routine tasks.
