Job Description

Role Overview: As an Industrial Engineer with 3 to 12 years of experience in Industrial Engineering & Discrete Event Simulation, your main responsibility will be to design, improve, and integrate manufacturing systems using people, materials, information, equipment, and energy efficiently. You will be required to research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis to support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements. Your expertise in tools like Siemens Plant Sim (Primary) and Flex SIM will be crucial in carrying out your responsibilities effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct Discrete Event and In-Plant Logistics Simulation to optimize manufacturing processes. - Simulate Process Flow, Material Flow, and Throughput scenarios to identify bottlenecks and optimize throughput. - Optimize AGV Routes to mitigate traffic concerns and ensure efficient operations. - Evaluate operator travel time and assess operator efficiency in both 2D and 3D simulations. - Generate different What-If Scenarios as per customer requirements. - Validate Layout & Processes for Plant and Shop operations. - Analyze and optimize Cycle time, Facility Logistics, and Line balancing. - Write operation codes using inputs such as Cycle time, Layout & Process in Siemens - Plant Simulation software. - Perform MOST analysis for Manpower calculation and MTM analysis for Line balancing. - Conduct Facility layout study and Bottleneck Analysis to enhance system capacity. - Design DOE and generate alternatives for observed gaps in System Capacity. - Experience with European OEMs / USA OEMs will be advantageous. - Work in a Plant environment for validation & optimization. Qualification Required: - BE/B.Tech in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering. - 3 to 12 years of experience in Industrial Engineering & Discrete Event Simulation. - Proficiency in tools like Siemens Plant Sim and Flex SIM. - Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis techniques. - Experience in writing operation codes and conducting simulations for process optimization. - Familiarity with MOST analysis, Line balancing, and Facility layout study. - Ability to work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
