Director UI & UX Design

As the Director of UI & UX Design at UKG in Pune City, India, you will play a pivotal role in leading the vision, strategy, and execution of product design initiatives. With a focus on user-centered design, innovation, and exceptional user experiences, you will advocate for customers, raise the bar on design quality, and drive cross-functional alignment with product and engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include championing customer advocacy by fostering an understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, content, business, and technology needs. You will also focus on enhancing design quality, streamlining processes, and creating scalable systems. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to address customer problems and align on product vision while navigating ambiguity and driving innovation in technology and UX. To excel in this role, you should possess 15+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years in leadership positions. Deep expertise in UX design, UI design, interaction design, and information architecture is essential. You should have a proven track record of leading successful product design initiatives and a strong understanding of design thinking principles and design systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams are crucial for this role. Ideally, you will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Experience presenting to senior leaders, embedding design within agile product teams, and working with globally distributed teams will be advantageous. A portfolio showcasing work in B2B or B2C services space, along with a strong discipline in AI technologies, will further strengthen your candidacy.
