Job Description

Role Overview: You will be reporting to the Medical Director of Primary Care (MDPC) and providing leadership and oversight for medical education and clinical training programs across Fenway Health. Your responsibilities will include supervising internal medicine (IM) and family medicine (FM) residents and fellows, coordinating precepting schedules, and facilitating interdisciplinary learning experiences. Your role is crucial in building a vibrant learning culture reflective of Fenway's values of equity, excellence, and patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: - Provide strategic leadership and direct supervision for Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents and fellows rotating through Fenway Health - Advance the design, coordination, and evaluation of clinical training and educational programs for residents - Develop and manage precepting structures, including assignment of preceptors, scheduling, and continuous quality improvement - Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for new medical providers - Collaborate with education leads across departments to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities - Chair the Medical Education Steering Committee to define vision, structure, and evaluation of medical education initiatives - Lead the professional development of teaching faculty and clinician educators - Identify, evaluate, and integrate innovative training methods - Direct the development of continuing education offerings for clinicians and trainees - Provide high-quality, inclusive primary care to a diverse patient panel - Supervise learners and trainees during clinical sessions and precepting blocks - Participate in case review, peer supervision, and clinical education forums - Maintain required credentials and clinical privileges Qualifications Required: - MD or DO degree with active Massachusetts licensure - Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds - Experience supervising medical residents, fellows, or students - Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusive clinical education - Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills - Clinical experience in LGBTQIA+ affirming care and community health strongly preferred Additional Company Details: The company offers competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package, including comprehensive medical and dental insurance plans, generous paid time off, commuter benefits, and more.
