Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead the U.S. tax compliance process, including oversight of federal, state, and local tax filings.
Provide expert guidance on
U.S. federal tax laws
, regulations, and legislative updates.
Oversee preparation and review of complex tax returns, including
Form 1065
,
1120
,
1040
, and related schedules.
Drive U.S. tax planning initiatives to optimize the companys tax position and mitigate risk.
Manage audits, inquiries, and correspondence with the
IRS
and other tax authorities.
Advise on
cross-border transactions
,
transfer pricing
, and U.S. international tax provisions (GILTI, FDII, BEAT).
Lead and mentor a team of U.S. tax professionals, providing technical and professional development.
Collaborate with legal, finance, and external tax advisors to ensure full compliance and support M&A or restructuring projects.
Develop and implement tax policies, controls, and best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters in Taxation preferred).
CPA (U.S.), EA, or CA
with extensive U.S. federal tax experience.
Minimum
10 years
of progressive experience in
U.S. taxation
, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or director-level role.
Strong command of
U.S. federal tax code
, including Subchapter K (partnerships), Subchapter C, and international tax rules.
Experience working with hedge funds, private equity funds, or multinational corporations is a plus.
Proficient in tax software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess, OneSource) and Excel.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
