Job Summary:

As a Direct Material Buyer for Chassis, Frames & Suspension at JSW Motors, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring key mechanical components that form the structural backbone and suspension systems of vehicles. Your role will ensure high-quality materials are purchased cost-effectively and delivered on time to support manufacturing and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure chassis, frame, and suspension components as per technical specifications and quality standards.
  
• Negotiate prices, lead times, and contract terms with suppliers to achieve optimal cost and delivery.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and compliance.
  
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams for demand forecasting and material planning.
  
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation within ERP systems.
  
• Monitor supplier performance, address supply chain issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  
• Research and identify alternative suppliers or materials to mitigate risks.
  
• Support inventory control and align procurement with production schedules.
  
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes.
  

Qualifications:

• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
  
• Proficiency in ERP and procurement software.
  
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BOMs.
  
• Knowledge of automotive safety and quality standards is preferred.
