Dielectric Simulation Engineer - Transformers

As a Technical Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas to identify, propose, and implement innovative technology development and solutions. You will be expected to solve industrial problems independently, showcasing your technical expertise through a variety of engineering assignments within projects. Your role will involve participating in ongoing scientific discussions, conducting feasibility studies, proposing and developing new technical concepts, designing new products, and simulating their expected performance within the dielectrics field. Key Responsibilities: - Undertake engineering assignments independently and demonstrate problem-solving skills - Run feasibility studies, propose new technical concepts, design products, and simulate performance - Provide technical support to factories during customer project execution stages - Collaborate globally with Hitachi Energy's research teams, technology centers, and engineers - Lead the implementation of new functionality in transformer insulation design tools - Formulate clear conclusions and recommendations, and transfer knowledge through reports and educational programs - Contribute to product and technology development projects, ensuring timely delivery - Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders and external parties - Ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines Qualifications Required: - B. Tech, BE, ME, M.Tech, MS, or PhD in EEE, High Voltage Engineering, or Power System Engineering - 4 to 10 years of experience in using simulation tools and FEM-based simulations - Expertise in characterizing and modeling dielectric properties - Deep understanding of insulation design and CAD modeling software - Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills - Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills in English Hitachi Energy values safety and integrity, and you will be expected to take responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
