Die Fitter Molding

As a Mold Technician, your role involves various responsibilities to ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and adjustment of molds for molding machines. Your primary duties include: - Installing and removing molds for various molding machines, ensuring proper setup, alignment, and fit for smooth production runs. - Performing regular maintenance on molds, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections, as well as troubleshooting and repairing molds and die components to minimize downtime. - Making necessary adjustments to molds for quality control and production efficiency, setting them up to achieve required specifications, tolerances, and finishes. - Assisting in the operation and optimization of molding machines, ensuring proper integration of molds, and collaborating with production teams to resolve any mold-related issues affecting production timelines. - Maintaining records of mold maintenance, repairs, and any encountered issues during the molding process, as well as reporting mold issues to supervisors or department heads. - Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines, and adhering to safety protocols while working with molds and machines. - Identifying opportunities for improving mold processes, reducing downtime, and providing feedback on mold design improvements or potential problems. Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a technical certification in mechanical or manufacturing engineering considered a plus. - Experience: Proven experience as a Die Fitter, Mold Technician, or similar role in manufacturing, preferably in molding or die casting environments. - Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mold design and maintenance, ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machinery, familiarity with injection molding and die-casting machines, ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
