Dialysis Technician

Job Summary:

The Dialysis Technician is responsible for operating dialysis machines, providing dialysis treatment to renal patients as per medical instructions, monitoring patient condition during procedure, maintaining equipment hygiene, and ensuring safety standards within the dialysis unit.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:Patient Care & Treatment

• Prepare dialysis equipment and machines as per patient requirements.
• Perform hemodialysis procedures under supervision of nephrologist/physician.
• Check patient vitals before, during and after dialysis.
• Prepare and position patients on dialysis chairs/beds.
• Observe patients and immediately report any complications (hypotension, cramps, nausea, etc.).
• Maintain strict infection control and aseptic protocols.
• Ensure proper disposal of bio-medical waste.

Machine & Equipment Handling

• Install and prime dialysis machines.
• Monitor machine functioning throughout procedure.
• Replace dialyzers, bloodlines, filters, and disposables.
• Maintain reverse osmosis (RO) water system quality records.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and calibration checks.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate session records, treatment sheets, and patient reports.
• Record pre & post dialysis vitals and treatment details.
• Upload or update records in hospital software/EMR if required.
• Report any machine malfunction, supply shortage, or incident immediately.

Coordination & Support

• Assist nursing & medical team in emergency dialysis cases.
• Coordinate with nephrologists for treatment planning.
• Educate patients and families on dialysis procedure and safety.
• Assist in scheduling dialysis sessions.

Skills & Competencies Required

• Knowledge of haemodialysis & peritoneal dialysis procedures.
• Strong understanding of renal physiology & dialysis principles.
• Ability to handle dialysis complications.
• Patient care and communication skills.
• Teamwork and cooperation.
• Attention to detail & infection control.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
